Drew Unit 30 late season elk cow tag, Dec 1st thru Dec 15th. Any advice on this tag and unit would br greatly apreciated. The last time I hunted there was 1971 late October for deer. Snowed the whole time, it was a good hunt. Thanks again.

We love that area to play in. The wolves wiped out the beaver population. Headed to tha area over the 4th if we dont make it to Yellowstone
I would suspect its almost a depredation type hunt By then the elk have decided if they will winter in Idaho or Montana. Any amount of snow you may need snow-machines If the elk are lower many will be on private ground. Expect to knock on a few doors if there is snow or call the CO in the area who want them gone

That whole area is a different world starting mid November some places the elk will likely be gone
Other places you will leave you scatching your head

    Call the CO

then spend time on google below 7500 feet( maybe lower )
