I see the same. I had a pair that I bought in 1996 and they were waterproof until 2016. Sole was gone for years but I kept wearing them. Current pair gets worn 60-80 days a year easy and still good.

If I'm hunting dry ground then I probably not hunting grouse, and definitely not hunting woodcock.

I bought a pair of MUDS boots.
Rural King. I wasnt exactly straight that day and thought I was buying Mucks. Got home and I like them. They're warm and dry. 40 years ago I'd have killed for a pair. 16027198334697286975778577703773.jpg

Am guaranteed not out as much as most if you guys but have had a pair of LL Bean leather top, rubber bottom boots fir literally 40 years. Soles worn now so not so much for climbing wet, rocky areas but dry an comfortable. Unfortunately Bean no longer re-soles for free but not complaining with that time owned.

I've sang the praises of Lowa boots on the Fuge before. Was wanting another pair but didn't want to fork over the US retail price.

Did some internetting and just ordered a pair of these from Finland for ~$150 less than normal US retail (after shipping and conversion).

If it's dry, I wear my Thorogood work boots. If it's hot and dry, I have a pair of MacRae desert boots. Both American made, BTW. Really cold or really wet, I wear Mucks. Wool socks make all the difference......

That site does nothing for me. Boot sizes stop at 12 in US. I wore that size in the 6th grade. Good prices for you smaller statured fella tho.

Gotta add 1 to the UK size if you're 'Merican Shaq.
