Have a picture of the featherlight decoys you are talking about?
Couldn't see a name brand on the old papermache ones. It does say Victor decoy company on the plastic ones.
The first 2 say FD4 feather-lite deluxe
These say Fairfax deluxe Featherlite FFD MAL
Victor D-9's I believe. I have some.
It's all in the timing to get the most money from your used decoys. I have sold hundreds of used decoys and had my best success around Thanksgiving time here in Oregon. Waterfowl season is in full swing here and birds are here in big numbers and lots of hunters have the fever, and are willing to pay top dollar. In comparison if you try to sell during the summer, or off season after the season ends, most people aren't interested.
Good info fellas. I'll pass it along when I see him this week.
Seems to me I've seen a lot of "used" decoys with "new" prices.
Do you know anyone in the Alabama or Mississippi area giving away decoys I’m trying to get into this year
There has been a helluva more ducks killed over the “old” stuff than the fancy new stuff and paper mache and wood decoys. The only disagreement that I have ever had with my grandson is that the old stuff is outdated. I have 6 dozen G&H Mallards that have never been out of the box, he said they don’t look right.
