the only new protocols I see when my mail gets delivered is 1) no uniform anymore, usually shorts/t shirts. I don’t mind this too much as long as it’s the hot Latino girl that delivers our mail sometimes. 2) being underfunded, why in the world are they paying extra to work on Sunday to only deliver Amazon stuff?
IMO, they should only deliver mail 3-4 days a week as 85% of the stuff that comes is junk mail.

Likely time constraints. The trailer was never unloaded all the way. Got sent back to Philly and will be back in a few days, maybe this time they will unload the whole thing.

I honestly see way dumber things out of fed-ex than usps here.

But the universal excuse for everything now is covid. It wasn't that we suck, we are lazy, we forgot, it was covid.

    The delays are sorting delays.
    People and machines.
    How it works:
The warehouse has little shoppers they call pickers. They fill orders. Order gets dropped at the "line". Depending on volume there might be 5 or 6 processors (packers) running the stuff thru. Boxing etc.
Right then the instant they print a label you're at home thinking "it's on the way". It is on the way to the empry trailer. It might sit a while until full.
Trailer gets moved then sits at sorting facility.
On your end you saw it move. Oh boy...
    Lol
Trailer gets sorted and the process takes time.
Your package might get loaded and unloaded several times waiting at each stop.
All that sorting takes time it's not instant.

My stuff I mail gets there all the time always.

Life is too short to worry about things I have no control over. :reader

Long ago I learned a useful, quick fix to solving issues. I tend to sort things into
two "piles". The first pile consists of those things I have NO (that is zero) control
over. The second pile is made up of things I can deal with on my own....today or
soon. The second pile is always much smaller.

It is useful to seek advice......unless you are a "needy" person. :l

Therefore, each day is rather easy because the short pile is possible.....by design.
Life is simplified and focused by routinely "weeding out" that which I have
    no control over.

Make two lists regularly and thrive. :yes

Then again.....just imagine what the "making two lists process" would do to the
post counts on this forum. :joker

I requested a debit card for a checking account for which I am the 'trustee'. The bank said no. I have no choice but to use the mail to pay those bills.
