I shot one in the rubies about 15 years ago dropped it cold looked for hours never found it thing looked like a turkey. I was at about 8500 feet if flew down a step canyon and I shot it I still hate that I never found it.

I saw two in the 8500-9500 range. No shot.

Most people hunt Snowcock without dogs. We took ours for just that reason. We didn't see any sign below 10,000. The majority of sign and the only birds we saw were close to 12,000 feet which is where this picture was taken.
