I suppose we'll get antibody tests when this wave is over and see what it looks like compared to what we had pre-omicron.

Is this how one verifies if they had Delta?

Wife and daughters were infected before Delta, the rest of us got infected during the Delta wave. We all have antibody baselines prior to Omicron.....so we'll get tested again when this variant passes and see what, if anything, we want to do different before the next variant.

Your health is your responsibilty......same as it ever was.

For old overweight people or people with a health issue. My actual Covid lasted about as long as most peoples issue with the shot lasted. 2 days. I’m a lil more scared of the flu then Covid now.
I've had COVID and I have had the flu. Neither are pleasant. Here is some light reading for anyone interested in just how nasty the flu can be: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Influenza

So how do you know you had delta and not the original?

I don't need to know that. I need to know what my antibody levels are before and after each variant. The Drs. don't even know what variant you have. You have to trust the CDC and the govt. for that information if it's that important to you. :yes :l

Exactly! The vaccines aren't very good at preventing infection, but they are better than nothing.
They are VERY GOOD at lowering the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death.
It’s like a condom with a few holes in it.

Won’t prevent pregnancy but will greatly reduce your chances of knocking her up.

I'm curious about what you will do with that information.

I'll know whether I'm still protected or not, and whether I gained more immunity from the latest variant. I'll take every single bit of information about the state of my health that I can get. The same reason I get a full physical with full blood screen, EKG, stress test, prostate exam, and hearing test every year, and colonoscopy every 5 years. The more I know about my health the easier it is to have some peace of mind making decisions. I have 30 years of health records to compare.

Do you go to the dentist every year? Yearly eye exam? If not, why? if so, what do you do with THAT information.....you make decisions about your health.

Seems to me that, today, knowing the level of covid antiobodies I carry is as important as any of the other numbers.....so I do it.
