2018 I caught a 7.5# bass in tidal waters of MD. I never got a chance to measure it. I do have a mounted 6.5# bass caught in SC and it was 24". My friend caught a 10.5# bass in FL last year and I'll have to measure it. It looks longer than 24" to me though.
My 6.5 was 24" as well. Be interesting to know what that Fla strain bass measures. Much longer feeding season down there than in OH or MD.

It's 2023 and all these Tournament managements still can't figure how to scan a fish to see if there are lead weights, rocks, fillets, or freakin cast iron frying pans stuffed down the fish's throat. :doh

Man these bass tournaments around here are insane. You can’t run from them. Can’t find a launch. Everybody from Kansas to Louisiana chases these fish.

They don’t catch them all though

Guy got caught cheating up here on a Great Lakes salmon tourney. It was a B.C. fish... they actually DNA tested it.

All fishing tournaments need to be ended!
*******izing the resource!
This is stupid. I fished professionally for over 30 years in California. The fishing is better now than it was 30 years ago. Why? Catch and release that’s why. Those Bass are worth too much money alive. Tournament Anglers don’t kill fish.

Is that why they fish barbless?
