Klamath is getting the same treatment as south valley water users. Fish win!

But in news that will make many of you happy, some almond orchards in the south valley WILL be fallowed this year.

I guess you are a full time advocate for risky almond growers, good on ya but you are trying to awkwardly conflate the fate of Klamath Basin with individual business decisions in the south valley. If you were waiting for someone to point that out - I just did.

I was was talking about ALL souther water users. People, golf courses, industrial, and agriculture.

Are you saying that it’s ok to harm endangered populations of salmon by pumping water out of their river if you use the water to grow ducks but not ok for other uses?

As I said earlier, many fields down here will be fallowed just like Klamath. It’s not good but that’s how it is. Fish win in both places even though neither action is likely to hep the salmon. There’s no dams or water diversions in Alaska but their populations are having real trouble too.

So all this "buy the water" and "secure water rights" arguments.....

How can this be when there's no water to buy or water rights to be secured.............?

From everything I’ve read, farmers aren’t getting the water....
