This past weekend started my guiding season. Friday was a hunt with a couple "new to waterfowl" clients. For one it was his first hunting trip ever. We had a great morning and ended with some table fare and great memories.

And then I headed to my camp in Rangeley for a little bird hunting.

Once in a while a picture catches your eye, well this one caught mine. Pearl, with a brace of grouse and my old Browning A5 20 gauge. Rangeley was not all work today, a couple for the bean pot tomorrow.

Glad you got some good hunting in,I love that pic with the lab in the Kayak.Reminds me of my Solo,he was the best in a canoe or any small boat.I'm hearing that its good grouse hunting this year up north.Decent birds in my area.Nice pic of the lab and grouse.

    Nice photos.
Looks like a lot of the leaves are down there, yeah?
(Was thinking about heading up this weekend.)

The first weekend, 9/26 was pretty tough, peak foliage. Last weekend, 10/3, was pretty good for visibility. I imagine they lost a few more leaves over this past week so should be even better. Good luck if you get up there.
