Any of you west coasters know if Blackhawk island near desoto is tent camp-able after the flooding? Looking for a cheap place to crash Monday night.

Last time I was down that way (a few weeks ago) I could say comfortably that it wasn't. Water was way over the launch in ferryville. Have to assume the water went down but don't know how much since then.

Going to get the garden in, mow some grass, make a picture or two of margaritas, tire the dogs, try and find the energy to deal with a crowded boat launch and catch some fish, watch some wood burn with a cocktail in may hand...

Can't say for sure but I'd guess yes. Grant river rec area in pool 12 was due to open last weekend. We had planned on camping just before that weekend but they were closed then.
Call to be sure.
