Was gonna fish this morning but couldn’t drag my *** out of bed to deal with the holiday weekend traffic. Dog and I hit some logging road’s instead. Nice cool morning and the bugs were not bad at all. No people just the birds and deer.

No joy on buying the truck. Drove 1.5 hours to Chicago to find out the truck had been in an accident. Son of a…May be buying a truck Friday.
Trying for a turkey and possibly a registered shoot at Waukesha Gun Club on Saturday.
Sunday getting the boat out.
Monday barbecue with friends. Sure wish I had a jar of whatever @Holesinthesky is probably bringing North…
No joy on turkeys either but 8/13 wood duck houses we placed had feathers in them. Seems the swallows move in after the ducks vacate and raise their own clutches. One house had a duck in it. I could be wrong but I think it's a hooded merganser. I also called in a deer with a goose call but don't ask me how.

Yesterday was a trap. Checked out a piece of property today I haven’t been on and the mosquitoes were terrible.

I shouldn't say this, but I haven't seen a mosquito yet. Ticks and knats yes, but skeeters no.

Pulled a deer tick off my neck while drinking beer with the degenerates Friday night. Man I hate those little fuggers.
