Honestly I’ve been having good luck all year on the bugs. I figured the place from Saturday would be an indicator as it usually is rife with skeeters and biting flies. Had zero issues but there was clouds of dragon flies. Never seen so many in one place in a long time. Not sure if they are keeping the other bugs in check.

Today was bad. Constant loud humming of a cloud flowing you. Plus I pulled 3 ticks off me. I brought a rod to see if I could fish a few sections of river and I made it maybe 10 casts. Just miserable.

Skeeters bad here. I can be in my yard after treating it but get outside the boundary and instant swarm.

Spent Thursday mid-day till Saturday morning in UP of Michigan getting a friends cabin open. The mosquitoes were brutal despite applying bug spray to myself and treating the yard with bug spray once I got the water on. They seemed unaffected. Still recovering from tick bites from turkey season. Treated my clothes with Permethrin and used repel tick and mosquito spray and it didn't stop them.

Pulled a deer tick off my neck while drinking beer with the degenerates Friday night. Man I hate those little fuggers.
Last week Shirley had to babysit overnight for our great niece. I was home alone. When I went to bed I felt something on my back but couldn't see it. Looked in the mirror and I could see something on my back. Couldn't reach it either.
So I had to go to sleep thinking about what I was pretty sure was a tick on my back.
She got home at 8am and sure enough it was a tick. Pulled it and it left a big red spot.

Doc gave me a script for quick dose penicillin.

Neat little spot, it’s a hot one for sure. Can’t wait to fire up the rooster lights and wind the XD up to 4500 rpm at 6am GK style. I picked the site at the end of the canal so I didn’t have to run so far to the ****ter plus I get to hot rod past all the campers now

My son and I did 16 miles round trip on the bike trail to the local DQ to crush some blizzards.

Lessons learned: how to pace, turtle reproduction, when to treat yo self and more.

Had a great weekend, weather was perfect. Didn't shoot, did some fishing. Crappies cooperated and 1 legal walleye. 17 people and 5 dogs Saturday. Kids, grandkids, neices, nephews and friends. Lots of day drinkin, etc. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did and took a minute to remember those who served.
