Not true. It depends how long ago the ticket was from when you are trying to cross the border and probably what you are doing. I had one in '95 and was able to cross 3 times after that of which the first time was in '99 and then in 2000. I was only fishing on those trips and didn't get asked.

When I crossed in 2010 to hunt, I disclosed before we went that I had the DWI in '95 and they checked my record to see if I had any other issues. I did not and was allowed across. I am guessing if you try and hide it, that might be a different story if they check. I had a buddy who also had one and was pardoned for paying money to save the queen and he was let across. Not sure if there is truth to that or not.

Whilst getting pardoned certainly could and will help chances of crossing, it isn’t a golden ticket. If the customs person(s) working that day don’t want u to cross, u are not crossing pardoned or not

After reading quite a bit on this, to me it is simple, it all comes down to lack of respect towards others who are after the birds. I do not write simply hunters, because hunters hunt, shooters merely chase and do whatever they can to shoot a sack full, disregard the resource, others and make it frustrating for hunters.

Having been out here for 15 years, changes have swept thru the state, electronic posting is the last thing. But you are correct, they keep coming, and I keep moving to other areas to find more peaceful hunts, where are definitely less birds, but also far less people where we can hunt again.

Finally, being from Wisconsin, there is not good hunting anymore, if you think it is you have not had truly good waterfowling.

Correct WI is awful no one come here to hunt and all y'all from here please stop... No water no ducks ect... And so forth ... Do not hunt here it is Bad!!!!! Stay away!
