Not long after I moved into my current home, I was watching a rabbit out in the front yard when a great horned owl came swooping in. Don't know if the bunny saw it coming or just sensed it's presence but it dashed into a tangle of blackberry briars. The owl landed next to the briar patch and paced back n forth much like a chicken. I guess it realized that lunch had escaped and it flew up onto a bare branch in a large maple where it was harassed by all manner of tweety birds. After a few minutes of dodging head pecks, it flew on to greener pastures. They are truly huge birds.
