rider does not have a club he has a 2 acre marsh that's it
Is that the 2 acres that kills 2000 birds?
not sure why a 2 acre marsh needs to open the second Saturday of November
I'm going to try to phone-in this evening. Hope it works for me......
I don't own a lease and basically hunt public ground and I'm all for a later start date. I would rather hunt more in January then November.
No wake at the Bottoms is a big change. It will be interesting to see that get rolled out and if it reduces pressure both from residents and non-residents. It will be very hard for surface drives in particular to utilize the motor pools as they need speed to stay up and move. Longtails will fare better than SDs but it will still be a challenge in the thick stuff.
I have a 23 HP Backwater and a flat bottom and it can be challenging to navigate outside of the channels without at least some speed to avoid getting stuck. But maybe that's the whole point...
Should eliminate all people from Louisiana
Tried to phone in. Didn't work.
It won't. It WILL reduce hunter dissatisfaction, but won't reduce hunter numbers or the hours/days the hunters are on the marsh.
Is there a rumor about all motors being off the marsh by 1pm?
That's a possibility that's being considered.
Well that could improve things dramatically
SEK hunter, I too like more January days but knowing Tom will propose the first Saturday of November to then guaranteed that Rider will give a 20 minute speech on the second Saturday of November to then hearing Lauber talk for 20 minutes on early migrants. Not funny anymore, just exhausting to listen to this year after year. Guess what? we will hear it again next month like a bad dream.
