What became of the people here who said that they would quit driving if
gas ever went above $1.80 a gallon
What became of the people who told us that 'Roundup" was totally safe ?

They cashed out their silver, dumped all their prescriptions, grabbed a laser, and headed off to paradise....

I never said I would quite driving if the cost of fuel hit x dollars but finally purchased a small fuel economy commuter car and stopped driving my diesel excursion to and from work. Wish I had done it sooner and remember filling it so when the price of diesel was over $4 a gallon and folks asking me how much it cost to fill up at the gas stations. I have a 44 gallon tank so if I let it get low it was a pretty penny.

Wish we didn't get gouged with high prices seasonal as i don't think folks drive any less and is just an excuse to drive profits for those who are already wealthy in the fuel and oil business. The average Joe feels the pain with rising fuel costs.

Hauled a cannon to the 150th Gettysburg reenactment in 2013. No way I was paying summer prices in Pennsylvania. Left Oklahoma with my 40 gallon truck tank full and two 100 gallon tanks in the bed. If we hadn't done some additional driving out there I would've made it there and back. Had to get some fuel in Shawnee coming home as I recall.

Don't remember exactly what I saved the guys on fuel cost (they pooled together the funds) but it was substantial. I think at the time it was near $5 a gallon out there.
