Large German POW Cemetary on the grounds of Ft Custer just outside Battle Creek MI. They died in custody and were buried with honor

WWII we were too nice to POW. Too bad other countries didn't treat US POW as well.

In Texas a huge report is done and provided to a state commission. Texas Rangers investigate in custody deaths.
Half of the bodies aren’t claimed and the county buries, or more often now, cremates them.

It would have been a better question if you left off jail, what happens when you die?

On another note..........what happened to the inmates that were released due to high covid rates in prison because states worried about close quarters and infections ?

Are those inmates now being brought back in or are they living in a blue state ?

In California, they automatically assume that litigation will commence and that it will be the State's fault....so they just go ahead and give the next of kin a million dollars to avoid court costs.

I wasn't aware of that, but we have a medium security state prison a couple miles from the house . A guy at works wife is a purchaser there .
When covid 1st came out she was asking me what it would take for a refrigeration unt to cool a 2 1/2 stall garage as a mourge. Guess they thought they'd be dropping like flies and would need a place to stack them .
