Lowes & home depot sells Black Restaurant kitchen rubber mats. About $26 a 3'x3' section. They snap together on edges and can be cut with heavy sissors. They,re about 1/2" thick and are made in a honeycomb grid which lets water pass thru. Absolute insulation from hot/cold floors and stop you from slipping on icey floors. Simple to take in and out to clean boat floor when needed. Heavy enough that they don,t move. I,ve used them in all my boats for years and best bang for the buck I,ve ever found.

You can do all of the research and get a lot of suggestions but you’re probably not going to find a product to suit your needs better than Hydroturf.

My Duck boat has 1/2" CDX plywood panels on floor. Painted to match the boat.

HydroTurf is light. It is tough. It comes in camo. It doesn't hold water or mud. It is awesome.

E1870C65-460B-4AF9-960C-FA8E410CDBBF.jpeg Here’s the hydroturf laid down after i put the aluminum floor in. It’s the deal....I’ve been hunting it all season, it shows zero signs of wear and to clean it all you need to do is hose it down and it looks new again.

I've bought similar off of Amazon to put under my exercise equipment in the basement. Then I saw virtually the same stuff at my local Harbor Freight store. I, too, have thought this stuff might work well glued down to make a boat floor.
