I thought “Bush meat” could be anything?
Lima Peru, I'd had "cuy" (guinea pig), apparently it's a delicacy to eat the brain from the animal. I remember when it arrived at the table, it looked like it'd been run over by a truck. Also ate at the "La Rosa Nautica", a very nice restaurant out on a pier in the Pacific Ocean.
Beijing, China I'd had the Peking Duck, various bugs over on "Wangfujing" (walking street), Beijing Hotpot dishes where the seafood is still alive at your table until it's put into the boiling water at your table. The boiling water is kept boiling by an open flame at your table. Had the spicy chicken sandwich at McDonalds. Had horse/donkey/mule depending on the translation. I'm sure I had other stuff there, after living there for 3 years.
Sydney, Australia. Had the "Shrimp on the BarBie" also had the Kangaroo. It was a similar texture to a chuck steak.
South Korea, the "beef & leafs" as mentioned before, an open fire grill right at your table with a hood vent to pull the smoke away. Haven't had the dog yet, but I see it quartered up in some of the markets I walk through. Sun Dried fish while in Korea. Shabu-bu style dinners. Oysters sent up from Busan when they are in season (24 hour delivery guarantee, from the time you place the order), delivered to my apartment door for me to grill on the BBQ grill. Had the female parts of the chicken with all the yokes. Going on 6 plus years here.
Thailand, BBQ street meat in BKK, fried bugs on Koh San Road. BKK river cruise had an exotic assortment of seafood. The dishes served up on the islands are amazing.
Kobe, Japan had the Kobe Beef. I misplaced the decimal point & that was the most expensive dinner I have ever had. Went looking for the puffer fish, but couldn't find it.
Paris, France had the frog legs & escargo. Had the "Royal with Cheese" afew times.
As I think of my world travels, I'm sure more will come to mind.
