1887 L.C. Smith SxS from my grandfather. He made a set of 26" barrels for it from a newer model Hunters Arms. I had to refinish the stocks the 'Old" way and show him I appreciated it before I could hunt or shoot it. First Duck Gun was a Mossberg 500 I got for Christmas from my parents.

First handgun was a Ruger Blackhawk, .357 mag
First rifle was a Winchester model 70, 30.06 cal., pre 64
First shotgun was Winchester model 12, 12 ga. (mfg 1951 or 52)

I got them all when I was about 16 years old and still have them.

Youth model Mossberg 20 gauge with both a smooth and rifled barrel. My dad got it for me. Still have it and my kid will start using it in a few years.

Single shot external hammer .410. My uncle gave it to me when I was 12 years old. He was helping a new widow get rid of stuff. Her husband had committed suicide with it.

My first gun was an 870 Wingmaster 12 ga that I bought when I lived in Texas so that I could go dove hunting with the father and brothers of a girl I was dating.

We broke up but I continued to hunt w/ her brothers while I lived in TX...

I'm not so sure that I could've used that gun knowing that.......that's brutal.

My first gun was a hand me down single shot Sear's & Roebuck exposed hammer 20GA from my older brother.
The extractor was broken clean off, so I had to carry an old wooden three piece cleaning rod to pop spent shell out of the chamber. I got good with it, I'd hold an extra shell in my mouth and set the cleaning rod at the ready. I often got two shots off at the same group about the time my brother and dad shot their 3rd shell. My dad and his buddies would die laughing watching me cycling the shells. I guess it was pretty funny....:l:l:l
