Just got off work a few minutes ago. Toasting the end of a successful trip and getting ready to fly home.

Gin and tonic after cutting grass before the next high tide and thunderstorm. Looking at the ponds and out of control growth of green stuff on the 5 acres of grass I have to cut makes me feel like drinking. I may switch to Beam later.

Whistlepig might just be the industry standard in rye right now. This stuff is great and the 12 year is even better.

It’s good. Don’t get me wrong. I have a bottle sitting on my counter right now.
But spend the extra ~$25 for the 10 year. It is a night and day difference. And if you get a real wild hair, buy the 12. It ain’t worth the price difference to be regular sipper, but you’re not gonna miss the extra $60 you’d spend on the bottle once a year, and it’s even better yet. The only rye on the market right now that I’ve had that’s as easily findable, as reasonably(ish) priced, and in the same league as the whistle pig 10 & 12 is Angel’s Envy’s.
