Only old woman still alive in my family is my wife, and she only cooks greens when I’m out of town.



Neither has an offensive odor. Greens and cabbage do.

Not that we only have it on St. Pat's Day but mama has got a big piece of corned beef simmering on the stove as I peck this for supper tonight and we'll be having boiled potatoes, cabbage and carrots with it....she doesn't but I also like some spicy horseradish sauce on the side with mine.

I had some frozen turnips, parsnips (from making Beef stew last week) thawed & added them to my cabbage, 'taters & carrots-Not bad!

Seasoned with sage and red pepper and served up with Homny , Greens and wet cornbread. Good eats.

I'd try that-I love some hominy- white or yellow don't matter!
