Shouldn't they already be way north...I mean its the 2nd week in April all ready...And them crazy snows....
I was out on hyw 132 at Mapes ranch the other day and there was at least 3000 of the white ones....

Loads of specs all through out our central valley right now .. crazy amount in the elk grove area today...

I was in the Humboldt area Monday and them little squeakers are there by the 10"s of thousands...

Are we going to end up with these birds hanging around calling calif home and nesting here like our honkers ???

They`re not going to be able to handle the 100+ degree temps.

Saw a good flight of white geese heading from south of Princeton toward sac the other day. Flock of specks tried landing on me as I was doing stuff around my blind

Saw a huge flight in the Robbins area today, and a number of them behind the volunteer fire dept in Lincoln today. Was surprised to see that many.

Yup, driving to work the flight of geese out of Cosumnes Preserve was impressive and I could have scratched a limit out of my backyard in Laguna West as flying over at 40-50 yards high this morning at sunrise. The snows left but as Mudhen goes they are mowing down the green everywhere.

There’s a big wad of snows at Stone Lakes still, they’re laying low. Too bad we can’t shoot at all these “wintering” geese...not like they’re breeding...
