Literally our pup tent.
Native who's make and model?
We use to elk hunt where a family had two huge military tents.
Was at a big BSA scout activity where one troop had a military modual tents those were cool
My buddies used to have two properties - one in Oregon and one in California - that we hunted. Oregon was sleeping in the hay barn or in my tent. Used to sleep in my buddy's trailer that he kept up there until it became overcome by rats. Openers for 15 years. At their place in California, they had a duck shack on the property. Funky but nice enough. Lots of tradition in those two duck camps.
We sometimes camp out here in Idaho on the night before the duck opener. Sleep under the stars. Pull a tarp over if it gets misty or rainy.
Still tenting it but with a mattress on all my trips except a few dove hunts that were in the back of the truck. Longer trips I set up a 6-man Alaskan Guide with deluxe vestibule that hasn't leaked a drop in 15 years
Cabelas Alaknak. 10x20.
I got a flex bow tent. Great tent. Easy setup and will withstand the worst weather.
Spent many nights in the back seat of the Tundra. Spent many in a 14’ fiberglass camper. Spend the rest in motels usually. I hate tent camping.
I bought a Kodiak a few years ago; best tent I've ever used.
I usually tent camp a handful of times a year, but tend to rent a cabin more often than not. Sleeping in 20 degree weather is nice; sleeping in 80 degrees, 90% humidity, with mosquitos that'd eat a murder hornet sucks all the fun out of tent camping most of the year.
4 and 5 years ago I spent 80 nights each year in a tent
If just straight up camping I prefer a tent. I have a very solid sleep system Im 62, worn back, replaced hip, tons of work on a shoulder, throat/face
Truely R-11 military tech closed cell phone, 3 1/2 " self inflating pad Costco memory foam and flannel lined bags, with good sleepwear.
I quite enjoy the night sounds, coyotes, crickets, elk,. the rain and wind
Picked this up Friday used for $75. Perfect condition. The 4 person was just too tight a fit for the queen sized and twin cots I got for the kids to be comfortable. Will be doing a lot of camping in the years to come with the kids and when I hunt with my son.
