I agree. When I went to tent only camping, I found one of these.... It's a big steel pump up sprayer, which you can heat up on its' stand. Only used it once, but worked great. Plenty of water for a nice shower.
same here I’m a clean freak when I elk hunt As a young man running trap lines I still washed at the end of the day my wife and I spent three days this week ATVing and back country hiking/ fishing I take a dip in the lake or creek I’ve always been a working guy and had to go to bed clean I make my own body wipes for hunting and wash my hair nightly a in camp a hot ( soda) bottle of water and scent free soap does hair face and upper body
Where I use to elk hunt in the desert there was pressurized waterlines 20 miles from ranches Wasnt something you would want to see me doing I hooked a hose to a hydrant and stood in the bed of my truck and power hosed myself clean
Spring turkey for me- graduated from eureka tent, that got shredded by storm- popup camper works well, sleep much better, added generator for AC occasional use, one of those shower bags and plenty of water is great. Tell you what, the coffee always tastes better out there.
I'm on location on the central coast of CA thru December. There are more long term campers in this site so setting up a fenced area is no problem. It makes life with a new pup so much easier. Tons of wild quail around to train him on too.
House built in probably 1940. Whole property is 150 acres, can be really good for deer and squirrel if managed closely. We duck hunt on a 50k acre WMA that about 20 min away. My aunt is getting older and has kinda given the place over to me and my brother. Very fortunate.
I enjoy the outdoors, and I really enjoy being away from other people (at times). I like to hunt & fish alone as much (or more) than I do with others at times. I understand that getting away from people necessitates sleeping outside, sometimes on the ground, but that is NOT my preference. I would far prefer accommodations more like this:
I am overlanding a 1997 Chevy Suburban. Here are some of the things I am doing And now I added a 270 degree awning and Water bricks. Elk camp will be comfy!
