where is everyone?

    Even over here in Mass. there's been an influx of black ducks in the last 10 days. Shot a banded one from Quebec last week. Again yesterday, if you didn't shoot them early they didn't seem to fly after 8:00. Mallards have been scarce, at least in our spots.

    You fellas in Mass are always shooting banded black ducks. I have my eye out for one here in NY but they don't seem to venture this way.

    I wouldn't wait for a Mass. banded black. I think they usually only band a handful using their airboat. They did/do have a coastal project where they band in the winter, but those probably won't head west towards you or me. Only a mallard x black came from the coast. The others usually come from Quebec or New Brunswick.
