Giving minorities better deals is essentially the same as saying charging whites more.
I don't know, maybe it is, maybe it isn't. There might be tax advantages or other incentives for the company to do such things that offset it and/or the amount of business that they would lose by charging some other segment of their clientele more to cover those costs might mean that charging whites more isn't feasible. I honestly don't know, but I do know that BLM didn't receive any money from Wells Fargo, at least not according to the source that the article used.

Don't know, don't care, not relevant.

Yes or no question. Is a company spending of $210 million of its own money in order to make it easier for minorities to buy homes the same as giving money to BLM?

It depends on who asks for it and why.

But I'm sure, in this case, it was from the goodness of their heart. :l :l :l

Racism, plain and simple.
Giving someone a "hand up" based on skin color alone is racist. Try that with the whites and you'll get screams of racism all day long, possible even at night prior to burning down your house.

Is giving a discount to a buddy of mine who I hunt ducks with the same as donating to Ducks Unlimited?

If he's a member of DU and that's why you're doing it.....yep.

For sure WF ain't offering no free lunch. The bank's narrative may be all altruistic and benevolent, but reality is the opportunity extended is an investment with an expected return. The feeling good part is a nice by product.

Couldn`t Wells Fargo have just diverted the money strait to the minoritie communities without involving BLM?

You mean like if, on average, black homeowners with incomes between $75,000-$100,000 had higher interest rates than white homeowners with $30,000 or less in household income?
