Yep, same here.
As much as I applaud for the support CWA offers, often times they have nothing to do with most of the projects except being a clearing house for keeping track of the numbers.
People who spend time building and maintaining boxes are heroes for wildlife! Lots of the people here have come out and helped for many years...I thank you, the hen ducks and the little ducklings all owe you a debt of gratitude!
Keep it up!
What the hell do you know about what CWA does for the program?
If it wasnt for them there would be no woodduck program and they build plenty of boxes trust me as I know and dont talk out my *** like you always seem to do.
Every thread goes to helI around here
More than you think.
Well I guess you just proved that statement wrong.
They do list the people responsible in their publication and tally reports though. Good on them!
This thread needs to get back on track.
Checked and recharged all my boxes today.
nothing yet. Earliest I’ve ever had hen sitting was first week of April so I would assume I’m on schedule. Had a few pairs flying around too.
was surprised to see 20-30 wigeon buzzing around.
I will post an update sat. Some of my members put 20 more boxes in as well this season. Hoping for some big #s.
Checked my boxes a little over a week ago. No wood ducks yet but had six mergansers with 72 eggs. There were quite a few wood ducks in the sloughs so there shouldn’t be long.
Shades of a ‘fuge pearl from 2005...
