My work station for this afternoon. Upgrading all the plastic parts on my son's crazy fast RC car. Hopefully it will last a half hour this time instead of 15 minutes before it breaks.

Pretty much my summer time fun, another screwed up air conditioner.
The guys there before me basically fubared it.
Took 2 circuit boards , 2 contactors ,1 transformer a condenser motor and bypassed some safties.Left the job and said they would order parts . Last time the building owner talked to
them was 3 weeks ago.
100 degrees on a white roof , I love my ****n job .

Why would they remove all the controls?

No clue , I think that company has lost the only one they had worth a damn and are now relying on a temp service like Trademasters.Why would they remove all the controls?

Hard to tell the business owner it's going to work when I get done after that crap .
Both compressor had pressure and heat exchanger was good so I've parts ordered.

Well if the comps test out, not open to ground or anything...
Good paying customer? Only time I have ever encountered anything like that was because of a less then promptly paying customer. I found a reputable companies sticker on it, made a couple calls, turned out the customer was into the other contractor for several thousand from the season prior.
I walked and stayed out of it, after a very straight up conversation with the customer. If you won't pay them, your not likely to pay me. I knew the other company's owner, stand up guy and business man. Other then he had a bunch of said customer's parts in a box...

No worries there it's a regional farm store chain .
We are doing a remodel in a old Walmart store for one here locally . This is the next town over . The head of their building department recommended us the store manager.
The compressors ohmed out fine .
Hear you on the no pays , slow pays . If I had my way I'd never work at a motel again. Or a convenience store .
