3 inch Dove loads Why????

That was my question when I saw them last week at a store here. 20 gauge 7/8 oz of 8’s kills them just fine about as far as I want to shoot.

The day I have to pay $34 for a box of dove loads will be the day I quit dove hunting.

I think the most I've ever paid was $50/flat and that included shipping. If I have to pay $34/box for non tox dove loads I'll buy one box for show, shoot lead and roll the dice. I haven't hunted but opening day in at least 4 years and don't think I opened the second box but maybe once. I figure I've got enough shells to last the rest of my life.

You can drop doves at 50 yards with a 28 gauge shooting lead. I did it in Argentina. They flare at about 40 yards from your blind. 1237 doves with 2650 shells.
