    Ft Bragg, just up the road. I couldn't believe what I had just seen and turned around to get a picture. Some of the more energetic old hippies up there salvage sunk timber from the rivers. I think this was one of those.

    Got a good friend that was a in a leadership position in the county fire dept. They got called to a major wildfire and his team would be stationed on one of the larger reservations that were going to be affected by the fire. Before they could deploy they needed to meet with the tribal elders who gave them a long lecture about how the land is sacred to them and they expected the fire teams to show that same respect while on their property. As they left the meeting and began driving to the area they were setting up the command post they couldn't find any houses that didn't have at least 3 abandoned home appliances and at least one vehicle on blocks in the yard of any lot and the trash heaps were much like you described. :scratch
