Pack a cheapo Kershaw to work everyday, had 1 Benchmade and loved it but had a hard time stomaching a $150 knife that was bound to get laid on the ground or piece of equipment and walked off from. Pack a Case to church, meetings, funerals, etc. Have an outdoor edge, and havalon for cleaning animals, really like those interchangeable blade knifes. Havalon is useless for anything other than cleaning, Outdoor edge is a little more versatile.
I have a Finnish Puukko knife - fixed blade. It has tons of karma and memories. I've dressed two moose and countless deer w/ it.

Yeah, I don’t edc a knife worth more than $25. I usually go through about three or four a year as they fall out of pockets, get left in a hole in the ground and get covered up, confiscated at ball games or the airport, etc.
Favorite Knife - USMC issue K-Bar . Not perfect for everything , but it will do anything I ask it to .
You need a bucket of these.... https://www.amazon.com/BladesUSA-C-JK-Folding-5-Inch-Overall/dp/B003IITQB0 Oh, sure everyone will laugh. But for $1 a knife, they are pretty handy. I have two in my pocket right now. Cut a rope, pry a staple out of a board, clean your fingernails. I always carry a Gerber Multi on my belt, but sometimes it is just easier to go to the pocket and pull a cheepee. They have actually gotten more expensive. I have bought 3 buckets, with even more knives in them, and paid about $.47 per knife. I put em on the shelf in the Concession Trailer, and I would usually sell 5-10 per event. Sold em for $1.
It's hard to tell from the picture but this knife is hand made with folded steel. It really keeps an edge like nothing I've ever seen...it was a gift from a life-long friend of mine.
