Good for you. I spent time with my sons in different ways. Like surprising my oldest with a flight and onfield seats at a DC United game. After the game the man of the match personally met with him and gave him jersey; something my son will never forget and it still hangs on his wall. That is just one of many things I have done with and for my sons. Pretty sure I can be selfish with one thing. All is good.

I certainly can't say whether you are selfish or not, but I can't imagine not wanting my kids in the field with me at every opportunity. I honestly don't know anyone who doesn't feel the same way, so it's a bit unusual.

We are pretty spoiled in Utah with outdoor opportunities. We have spent may a days in the field, both big and small game hunting, as well as fishing and camping. Call me strange, this is just the one thing that became my therapy. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change it.

Great video. They are good shots. That little fella with a 12 gauge is a pretty fair duck caller too, it sounds like. Congratulations on a great hunt and great memories.

Crazy to have any kids shooting 3.5” shells.

Absolutely! Our state is doing this also. Great idea!

Probably won't be popular, but I'm against veterans hunting on youth days. If it were strictly active duty and disabled veterans I'd probably feel differently. If people feel really strongly, give veterans a day during a split to themselves.
