I dont come on here to flog the dead and rotting horse that is this state, but a second bear tag would probably result in better bear management, and certainly would not result in over hunting of bears in CA. At least it's still up for discussion and not totally dead.

Funny how science does not matter when they don't want it to. We are up to our eyeballs in bears in Northwestern California. Everybody has bear videos of them in their yards here. I see more bears than deer during deer season. Maybe some should be relocated to Golden Gate Park to get people in the urban areas to see what we are living with here.

Since banning hunting with hounds in 2012 the bear counts have gone from ~15,000 in state to ~60,000. I don't think the bear quota has been hit since...

Bears here in Wisconsin are kept in check. Wolves on the other hand are out of control. How a Federal judge in New York can stop a Wolf hunt is total BS. I feel for you.
