I am finally putting to rest the "what's the balls-iest pickup truck?" question on this Forum.

I was gifted a 2006 Toyota Tundra, it has 265,000 miles on it. It is in like new shape on the outside.I am probably not going to get Marathon seat covers, after I get all my needed hunting gear for this season. There is No Question that it last.I maintain the fluids religiously as did my friend. Pulls my decoy trailer very good, has a camper shell and I really shouldn't complain as it cost me nothing to register and insure it, BUT dang I swear it was built for 5 foot 2 Japanese people, I am 6' 4 and spending more than 2 hours in it ge5s very uncomfortable. I might sell it ,but not sure what I would get.I saw one here in town that wasn't as clean as mine and the guy sold it for 6500.

Bring it on up here in December. I’ve got access to a whole lot of chisel plowed fields. Well rip that rig completely apart in 400 yards at 50 mph. Bet that.
@Grif said we can try it with his truck this fall

I have a 15 year old 5.7 tundra the only thing I don't like is not having a rear locker. The Tacoma and 4Runner have them but why couldn't they add it to the tundra. IMO they all but ruined it by going to a v6 with all the engine issues. I'll drive mine until it dies. Only mechanical issue I've had is replacing the alternator and routine brakes. I'll have pulled trailers up to 12k#s

My "best" truck is the one that's paid off.

My wife and both twins now drive Toyota 4Runners. I basically was a hard NO for a Toyota anything. Never owned a "foreign" vehicle in my life. Even when my wife's was delivered I wouldn't ride in it....I didn't like the ride.

Eventually I relented....and now it's one of my favorite vehicles we've ever owned. It just goes.....anywhere. It's not a real comfortable ride....kinda Jeep-like...you have to drive. It never feels like a 50K vehicle, but it's as tight and well built as any vehicle I've driven. If it ends up being a 200K mile, 10 year old vehicle that still runs strong....I'll be a full-on fan.

I don't ever see myself in a Toyota truck....but now I get it. :tu
I bought a new Toyota Tundra (4.7L) 4WD in 2001. It runs great and looks the same. It’s had nothing but scheduled maintenance for the 100K miles so far.

It lacks the current electronic features, but does have heat, air and cruise. I use it for hunting, fishing and hauling. It’s rides good enough and I couldn’t ask for a better performer. No reason whatsoever for moving on to something different.

‘97. It’s been pretty good. I’m not gonna brag on nothing I got, to much. AC doesn’t work, cruise control don’t work, ABS don’t work, check engine light has been burning for years and the law says I got a license plate light that don’t work,………….. but there ain’t nothing wrong with the radio.View attachment 517603
