Passenger plane and Blackhawk helicopter "collide".

I just watched a video of what the news is calling a collision between an American Airlines passenger jet and a Blackhawk helicopter. There is no way that the pilot of the helicopter could not see the plane and not have time to avoid it. IMO that was an intentional act by the helicopters pilot. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

Why are Blackhawk helicopters training at night so close to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport?

Who was the pilot of the copter and who was on the plane will be questions that will need answers. That we have radicalized people in our military who are not loyal is a given. It can also be some sick suicide. But it is looking less and less like an accident.

Did anyone else notice the other plane that was taking off at the same time of the collision? I’m wondering if there was confusion on the part of the chopper pilot as to which plane flight control was talking about.

Regardless, prayers to the families of those lost in this tragedy.

Listening to a airline pilot this morning who has flown in and out of Reagan, in the dark, the airplane was coming in for landing and would have still been under instrumentation when the collision occurred. He believe that the blame belongs to helicopter crew and ATC.

He's right, This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!

Would you prefer he not say anything and have his mouth piece, Karoline Leavitt, stiff arm the White House Press corps for the next month, like Karine Jean Pierre use to do? Or circle back Psaki? Look at the Biden Administrations handling of all the drones over the eastern US. They wouldnt answer questions about where they were coming from and who was responsible for them. On her first day, Leavitt announced that the drones that were over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons.

I prefer an open & transparent Administration -vs- one that will stiff arm you.

Very tragic, US figure skating teams members and family members as well as Russian team members and coaches were coming back from a training camp. Sure looks like lack of communication and pilot error on the part of the Blackhawk. Prayers go out to the families
That's a dangerous airspace to be flying for training
